*This below is a increasingly common question.
Q: My liner is fading fast or rotting around the skimmer (or my skimmer is cracking or leaking), or looks like this (example below) and I use sustain or place my chlorine tabs in my skimmer, what should I do?

(Example of Liner Damage + New Skimmer due to old skimmer falling apart)
A: First a little backround information. Chlorine & Salt Systems, especially a chemical system such as sustain can fade your liner fast, it is a proven science that chlorine in any form is a corrosive material, and if your calcium, PH, alkalinity, & stabilizer, are not perfectly balanced you will see this take place more rapidly, especially if you have a lesser quality pool liner then we can offer you.
One suggestion we can make is to remove any chlorine from the skimmer including all sustain products, try pristine blue if your looking for a reliable bi-weekly system. (more on our chemical system below).
If you continue to use chlorine products and keep your pool well balanced (calcium, PH, alkalinity, and stabilizer), use a in-line or offline hayward or pentair chlorinator, or atleast the use of a floating chlorinator will help.
Finally if your skimmer or return leaks, or is cracked due to corrosion and because of chlorine in the skimmer, first remove any chlorine from the skimmer and do the following,
Specifically for leaks a new gasket may be needed, we stock most styles of hayward skimmer & return gaskets.
For skimmer cracks its simple, replace the skimmer or return, we do stock hayward widemouth & regular skimmers & all return fittings for above ground pools.
In-ground pool skimmer cracks require serious repair, contact store for details & to set up a service call.
Q: My pump is making a squealing noise, and i place sustain or chlorine tabs in my skimmer, what should I do?
A: Well unfortunately there isn't much you can do, you can prolong the life of the pump and filter system by removing sustain completely, or using regular chlorine in a hayward or pentair in-line or offline chlorinator, or atleast a floating chlorinator.
Q: Do you do installations or service calls
A: Absolutely, look at our “Services” section for more information!

All other hours will remain the same.
